Black and White Editorial

Ok please actually go to this link and watch this video because it's awesome. Everyone worked so hard and it's a testament to Laura and David's leadership skills that it all came out so well...and that everyone was willing to stay up all night for it too!

It's definitely worth it to click around on Laura's blog some more - she routinely has awesome editing taste and there are some great Fashion Squad posts up as well. And yes, there's some LCS Designs in there too... :)

London in the Fall

Quick summary of what I got out of London Fashion Week: Black, white and crazy prints. Which personally I thought was awesome. Here are some of my picks:

Burberry Prorsum - this look was on the cover of WWD for a reason. It's GORGEOUS.

More Burberry Prorsum. WANT. Can Christopher Bailey do no wrong?

 David Koma. More sheer sleeves...

Erdem. Gosh I wish I had the guts to rock prints like this...

Mary Katrantzou. ...or this... What if people actually dressed like this in real life??

 Michael Van Der Ham. Like.

Vivienne Westwood Red Label. Don't get me wrong, I'm NOT into the hair here and I'm not so into the hemline either but...something about how windswept it looks just makes me keep staring at it...

On to Milan!

Fings I like

My childhood best friend, Katie, has an entire facebook album full of ridiculous/funny/odd/thoughtful pictures that never fail to make me smile. She titled this album "Fings I like." Here are a few of my own.

Just ridiculous.

NY Public Library for the Performing Arts.

 Bralette top by Carin Wester.

 Santa Barbara day trip

Me in 20 years. And that man beside me? Equally amazing but whether we're dating, married, best friends or hate each others' guts, no one will be able to tell.

 So true.

Santa Claus left this in my stocking. He has a weird sense of humor.

What happens when I end up home alone.

I had to steal at least one of these from Katie's album. This is her's. The caption: "Thug lifeeee" Yeah, she never gets old.

New York Fashion Week Highlights

I apologize that this post is ridiculously long, but it's already London Fashion Week so I didn't exactly have time to break it up. Here are my personal pics for NYFW:

 3.1 Phillip Lim - Pants.

Badgley Mischka - really loving this sheer sleeve trend, it's all over the place this season

 Badgley Mischka. HOT.

Chado Ralph Rucci. Not my fave Chado show up these sheer gloves are up there on my WANT list.

Christian Cota. I don't really get it, but I'm partial to the asymmetrical.

Chritian Cota. The boots suck. the dress is YES.

Cynthia Rowley. Fave color EVER. Also lots of long skirted slits this season...

Cynthia Steffe. Take the fox off and I love it.

Derek Lam. Simple long skirt done right.

DVF. Very bad@$$ this season. Love it.

Helmut Lang. Not a fan of the presentation - looked a lot like the edgy side of LA which doesn't appeal to me at all. However, strip it down and almost every single jacket they showed was significantly lust-worthy.

Isaac Mizrahi. Methinks the cakes outshone the collection a bit...

L'Wren Scot. RED HEADED MODEL! *instantly loses ability to accurately judge collection*

 Marchesa. Getting married in this.

 Max Azria. Simple and lovely.

Michael Kors. HAUTE. Happy 30th bday, Michael!

 Monique Lhuillier. Vintage HAUTE.

Oscar de la Renta. Is it bad that I really want this jacket??

Proenza Schouler. Weird skirt but I kind of like it.

Rodarte. Not my favorite Rodarte collection ever but this I could do...

Thakoon. I would totally rock this jacket.

Tommy Hilfiger. Someday I will be cool enough to wear this look...

Vera Wang. I'd never wear this sweater but it still looks cool...
Y-3. Glove things, LBD and braids. I'm on board.

Creme puffs, beach and wine

Home is where the heart is. And espresso creme puffs with chocolate graduation caps decked with blackberries and sitting on a caramel covered plate. Over the top? Maybe. But that's my dad and they were GOOD. He must have made at least 20 last weekend for my family's little celebration of my officially completing basic schooling for the rest of my life... (and yes, that's a yellow, chocolate '11 hanging off the chocolate tassel there...)

Surrounded by a centerpiece of lemon blossoms. Life is good.

Followed creme puffs shortly with another Laguna trip...
If there is a meaning to life beyond creme puffs and beach, sometimes I'm not sure if I care.

In other news, a Samsara 2009 Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is now on my favorite wines list, Bacardi rum with 2 parts diet coke, 1 part lime margarita mix is actually pretty good (welcome to grad presents and a sparse fridge), and I Can't Behave Myself by DeadMouse5 has been my theme song for two weeks now. Thanks Derek for 2 out of 3.

It's been a while since I've posted an outfit...

These were taken with an old phone. My new Droid has a MUCH better camera! Goodbye sad, sad little blurry shots :)

Thief-ness

February Fashion Squad shoot. Motion editorial AND photography. Call time: 8pm. Finally left the set at 4:30am. TOTALLY WORTH IT. Got to run around like Zorro at the Anaheim White House all night - who more can a girl ask for? Here are some behind the scenes pics. I'll post the epic final shots when they come up. xoxo

 Makeup room at Dodge.

The epic Laura Via looking blurry, but still epic.

 Models? Who say whooo?

Linchpin and Redbull. Why I wasn't as zonked out as...

 This guy! At 3:30am

What the Anaheim White House looks like at 4:30am with only one person left. Yup. Once in a lifetime moment here.

All in all, awesome night - can't wait to see the final product!

LATER: I was just about to post this when the final shots went up on FB! That was fast! The pics with me came out...well, not so hot, but some of the other  ones were positively smoking!

Ruby Strandlund. So hot right now. If this last shot doesn't get her a contract with FORD, I don't know what will.

xoxo
